*taps* Is this thing on?

Wow. Been over three weeks since I posted here. So, in case you were worried, don't be. I'm still doing a fair to middlin' job of converting oxygen into carbon dioxide.
Soccer season is slowly winding down - tournament this weekend and next, then JV games through the 7th. And then I'm off soccer duty until August. Bliiiiis. Work is still good, still marveling at the idea that I love what I do and am fairly good at it, too. It still keeps me busy during the day - which I love - but on the slower days (and evenings), I find myself with too much time on my hands and that is rarely a good thing.
Especially when people (I'm looking at you, Brad) drop little bunnies in my head. Bunnies that grow into full-scale, rabid, mutant rabbits that nibble on my brain while I'm sleeping.
Apparently you really shouldn't say never again, because here I am with a game comm all set up with me holding the admin reins. (For those of you keeping score, it took five years for me to forget how rotten I felt at the end of the last game I co-modded enough to do it again.)
It's not a game game though. It's more like a collective sandbox with me making sure it's not complete anarchy. There's no set story, no application, no requirements. Just bring a character and have at it. Stay for a week, stay forever, play a PSL with someone else, relive an old game friendship/relationship you miss, and so on and so on.
It could be fun, it might be a dismal failure, it might just be Brad and I messing around because we missed playing OCs; but I wanted to toss the idea out to the flist in case anyone else was looking for something like it. If you want links to the premise and guidelines, let me know.
And now my happy day winds down and I'm hoping for at least a half an hour here with no one else in the office so I can gobble up another chapter of Abigail Roux's Cut & Run series because I seriously cannot get enough of Ty and Zane.

Date: 2013-04-26 11:10 pm (UTC)I could have made Maggie's place Crabs Cafe! Course, then Levi'd have to tell everyone Maggie gave him crabs. Might make the Townies start spitting at her or something. Uncool.
You know I love it, and adore you beyond the bounds of propriety. I doubt very much I'd have spent so much time on it the last two nights if I didn't. I'm just loathe to talk something up as fabulous and get the meh response. I'd much rather make it sound okay and be pleasantly surprised later.

Date: 2013-04-26 11:19 pm (UTC)That makes sense, to keep expectations and excitement subdued. But we should start doing stuff with it soon!
