nostalgia night

Wow. One night, four deletion notices from Insanejournal, and a thousand memories of one of my favorite games ever. Ron. Zach. Oliver. And my precious Leila.

Then a few nights ago...my Maggie and my Jason.

And I find myself missing old games tonight, old voices. I miss Thalia and Mara from Metempsychosis even though that game was abandoned 6 years ago. I miss Billy and Luna, 7 years past.

...and since this is taking a really wrong turn, I'm just going to stop there.

Yeah, and I did . I put a private post in each and changed the status to active again. It's just the memories of those games, of people I used to play with that are now gone from my life for one reason or another, of games that burned out rather than just burning *me* out or wearing me down.

I got 33 notices within five minutes last night, and a few more later on. They've been trickling in until now, and it's like the floodgates were unleashed, I don't know. This morning will be sad as I have to go through all of them and save them. I'm ... selfish... and won't let them go. I like to be able to go back and look at them.

Yikes! Yeah, that'd kinda suck :) But you've played a lot more IJ than I have. I should, at least, be done with the purging now, at least until LJ decides to do it on more than empty journals. I don't even want to think about that one.

I think I did 40 this morning, including some mod journals I had to have the passwords emailed for because I couldn't remember them.

This seems to happen about annually for IJ. I guess I really should put ping posts on mine to save myself the headache, but then I'd have to remember to update THOSE, too.

It's certainly started off my day in a peachy way!

Yeah I got about 3, but most of my big play was over on LJ. Every now and again I feel the need to pull things up and read the past. Some of it is so "tough" I can still feel the character.

Yeah, if LJ decides to purge like this, I dunno what I'll do, because I'm going to get tonnes of them and I know damn well I won't be able to give most of them up.

The saddest ones are the GJ ones because they just took the whole site down. I've actually saved all the tags I have in my inbox so I can sort of revisit those games.

...and Katie still misses Neville...
