I knew this was going to be a shitty weekend - have known for weeks as plans started to bump into each other.
Saturday:
8.15 - leave for soccer game
9-11 - gametime
11.15 - straighten downstairs/shower
12 - 1.10 - necessary trip to Target for party stuff
1.15 - leave for Smithfield for soccer game #2
1.40 - encounter traffic jam because two lane bridge is down to one alternating lane, takes half an hour to go 500 feet
2 - gametime
3.20 - arrive in time for second half, game started 30 minutes late due to traffic
4.15 - leave Smithfield - thankfully less of a jam on the aforementioned bridge
5.15 - home from game, to grocery for kid snacks/birthday cupcakes
6.15 - 4 15 year old boys arrive at the house
7 - monitor to make sure they don't blow up my house
Sunday
12.45am - give up on being in the same room with them while they play FIFA Street
1.45 - first trip down to tell them (one in particular) to keep the noise down
1.50 - noise level back to the point I can hear it through the floor
2.30 - second trip downstairs
3 - I finally fall asleep
4 - they finally fall asleep
7.45 - up to get coffee
8-9 - wake up exhausted boys to get them to get their gear together for paintball with aborted attempt to convince them about not going today since they're spent.
9.30 - drive out to paintball, get them signed in, gear rented for the two without it
10.30 - home, shower
11 - grocery store, a few more errands
noon - home, groceries away
1 - drive out to VB for friend's first home-business party
1.40 - phone call with exhausted Zach
2 - home-business party
3.30 - leave party to pick up 4 sweaty, punchy, paint-covered teenagers, one with no filter
4 - home, let them gather their things, drive them to their houses.
4.45 - home, getting ready to make dinner
And in the midst of all of this...RS.org is having issues again. They're resolved, or will be when the site registrar can manually renew the domain name.
I need a weekend from my weekend.
Well, I need a lot of things (none of which I will get), but a day to do nothing but rest would be a good start.
