Still under that false impression

As usual, my reaction to the movie is, right now, probably made up of mostly exclamation points, caps lock. And a lot of aldsjfldfj;la;oeifja;sldkfja;sldfja
First things first - I've never made any bones about the fact that Breaking Dawn is my favorite of all four Twilight books. I can now confirm that the movies just made me love the story that much more. Do I think it was Great Literature? No. But the story was good, engaging, fun, etc.
Bill Condon....took that great story and made it so much better.
(*also, please keep in mind that I got home at 2.30 am from Richmond, and am now up to go into work before an afternoon of rewatch)
If BD1 pretty much blew me away, part two blasted my ass off the planet and into space.
Oh my GOD.
Vampire Bella. HELLO. Oh my GOD when she went all ass-kicking on Jake. I'd say that was my favorite scene but, really, my favorite scene was about 2 hours long. From opening to closing credits.
The nomads. Garrett. Yeah, always loved him. Now I want him in my life forever. He took a small character and totally owned it. I loved every scene he was in Same with Alastair, Benjamin, Zafrina, Kate, Tanya, and so on and so on.
The way Melissa tightened up scenes that were overly long (Bella's transactions with Jay Jenks, for example - much tighter in the movie.) And yeah, I did miss Bella being all Vamp in the Max scene, it cut out a lot of filler that didn't really need to be there. Well done, Melissa.
The battle at the end. Dear God. I can't even process it yet. But it was SO FUCKING AMAZING.
The resolutions, Jake and Ness (oh GODS my love for them is even greater now - Taylor totally nailed it.)
Jake tells Charlie. OMFG.
The cottage. The scene. YES PLEASE. AND THANK YOU.
I will probably add more to this as I remember and when I'm not rushing ass to get out of the house to get Zach to school and get myself to work.
In short, an amazing finish.
I went to the marathon yesterday and it was completely awesome to watch the whole thing, start to finish, in a theater setting.
