List all the fandoms you have written in.
Scarecrow & Mrs King, The X Files, Harry Potter, Twilight
How many published fics have you written?
Probably close to 40
In terms of word count, in which fandom have you written the most?
Twilight. I think my last Twi-fic was longer than my whole Harry Potter trilogy, wordcount wise.
At the moment, which one of your fics is your favorite/you are the most proud of?
I can't pick between all of them - so I'll pick one from each fandom:
SMK - Breaking Apart. My first fic ever.
The X Files - Period of Adjustment
Harry Potter - Grey Haven
Twilight - Nomad
Which writer (fan fiction or not) inspires your own work?
Rowling, Meyer, Carter - and whomever wrote the SMK episodes :) And fanfic authors, really, there's only one. Lori. Incredibly talented (I STILL have Justin Finch-Fletchley flashes, lines of PoU dialogue that flit into my head, etc....and it's been years since I've read it. Successful in both fandom and published works, and just so...real about it.
What was your first fanfic about?
A "what if they broke up" AU of an SMK episode
Out of all the characters whose POV you have written, which one do you feel you identify the most with?
The voices that have come easiest to me are Harry's, Amanda's, Scully's, and both Edward's and Bella's
What do you feel is your biggest challenge when writing?
Descriptions. I can put two characters in a room, write their scene with emotions that will have the reader crying, laughing, or panting...but ask me what the room looks like? What they're wearing? I'm much with the suckage there.
Do you generally outline your fics or do you prefer to write spontaneously and then revise?
I've done it both ways and what works best for me is a loose outline of what should happen, because more often than not I'll get halfway through and the characters will decide to go somewhere else. Then I just hang on for the ride and hope they don't back me into a corner, plot-wise.
Which one of your fan fics has the most hits, comments, and/or kudos?
Crash Into Me - which is ironic as hell considering the reasons I started it in the first place.
What proportion, if any, of your fics are rated M or above?
All of them together? Maybe half? I didn't start hitting the M rating until mid-way through my Harry Potter days and most since have crossed that line.
Finally, tease us with the title of one of your upcoming fics.
Alas, there's no tease and no fics. I wrote my Nano story last year and I haven't had a bug to write anything longer than an RP application since. I am bunnyless - fanfic and original - and I'm strangely at ease with that.
