The LJ Users sign up from Nimbus (which was ten years ago this month for those that want a brief mind-blown moment.)

More than a few names on there that are blasts from the past - mine isn't, though, because back then, my LJ name was still my full name. I think it was after Nimbus that I made the switch to the current name.

Man, I was just thinking about this today and can't believe that this month marks 10 years since Nimbus where I met you and others for the very first time, after communicating for over a year beforehand. :D

A friend linked me to this the other week and once I saw it, it totally jogged my memory about this and filling it out.

I still remember the running tackle-glomp I got from you with your laptop bag providing extra momentum at the airport, where I remember being confused as to where to meet up for the bus and being relieved once I saw you and Renee, knowing I was then in the right spot. :)

I like Jori's idea about going back and finding our Nimbus posts and reposting them... and am totally doing that as soon as I finish responding :)

I find it funny how tiny and kind of obscure I made my name down there in my terribly and painfully shy 2003 way. No big smacking lip prints for me!

ETA: I just went and read my LJ entry from after that weekend. I think we should all repost those in the coming week. And why can't I find any of the pictures I took of people I didn't yet know?!?

Yeah, well, I think most of us would like to wipe the lip print, and the owner of the lips, right off of that one.

Wow, that's awesome. I didn't go (at no point in my life has 'fly to Florida' been a thing I could afford; I went on a two-week trip to Europe that year instead and it cost less than Nimbus would have) but there are a lot of names I recognise! Some I'm still friends with and some I haven't seen around in years. I'm all nostalgic for HP now. ;)

Created quite a bit of nostalgia for me, too. I haven't talked to a lot of them in eons, but many I'm still at least somewhat close to.
