Last day at the lake house

And, thankfully, whatever was causing the humidity has gone the way of the dodo. It's sunny, cool, and the air is dry again. Glory be.

As I head back into the world of the productive, I have to do:

* Canon reread for The Stand (including finding journal name and PB)

* Read the PJO series finally - saw the second movie today and despite a certain voice in my head grumbling...a LOT...during most of it, I think I want to read the true version, not the movie one.

* Bask in awesomeness of Nexus

* Still need to do that head-out-of-ass thing

* Possibly read Ender's Game, though I'm wondering if that's possible at all

* Stop thinking about being lost in caves.

And now, one last afternoon listening to the waves crash outside the house as well as the sound of screaming children running like heathens around the house (will miss the first, not so much the second.)

Ditto. I've read it cover to cover, both versions, so many times. It's really kinda sad.

I love the miniseries, too, though there are parts of it I only endure.

I need to read it again, but I'm trying to get through ASoIaF, plus I want to do an HP reread (since I haven't in years). But yeah, I love it so much. I feel like I would have enjoyed the miniseries a whole lot more if there weren't so many horribly miscast parts, but I still really liked it.

I really tried to read ASoIaF - to read it and to listen to the audiobooks. Didn't take. I still have too much rage for the HP read :)

I was okay with most of the casting save one.

Somewhere else. The Stand is one of those canons I'd rather play with Canon mates.

Yeah, that's understandable with that canon. We've had pups from it before - Nick, Glen, Lloyd, Stu, even a Flagg at one point - but it's been a while.
